Gladys Yamileth Urrutia
Executive Director
The LAMB Institute
General Responsibilities
Oversees all the details of the institution.
Develops programs for the institution.
Develops programs with the children's families.
"I like to work in this community. For me, it's more than a job, it's a calling to service."
I worked for many years in another organization, but I did not have an obligation to God and to my neighbor.
I think working with children is work that is closer to the heart of God.
Compared to the need, our work seems small. Children in our area are suffering a lot. Until now, I never realized the number of cases of abuse and maltreatment of children in the country of Honduras, nor the shortage of organizations working to help the situation. For me, doing this work is a blessing.
I thank all who support us. Without your work and your love, we would not be able to do everything we do for these kids. So many people give more than what they have, and your prayers are a covering of protection over us. We are thankful for your valuable and enormous support.
Needs
We especially need prayer that the children will be healthy, that they will be able to learn well, that everyone involved will be spiritually transformed, for the health of all staff members, that our faith continues to grow, that we would have wisdom in growing the children into good, young men and women, and for God to impress upon the workers here to commit to the work in San Buenaventura.

I became a Christian when I was 5 years old. My mother taught me the truths of the Bible. I started serving the Lord when I was 20, working with missionaries, whose Bible school I also attended.
I was called by God to work at The LAMB Institute. My main objective here is to glorify God in everything I do. I want to help volunteers to do their work, and I want to help the children with their needs as well. I see God's hand upon this ministry because it is growing, and reaching out to the needy people in my country of Honduras.

Margaret Merritt US Director of Operations The LAMB Institute
General Responsibilities To coordinate all communication with friends of LAMB in the US To deposit, record, and express our thanks for all donations To help mission teams and individual volunteers prepare for trips to LAMB
Brief Testimony I first visited LAMB in February 2006, and quickly felt the Lord calling me to go back. I returned to live in the Children's Home for three months. As many who have visited LAMB would say, I was far more blessed and changed by the people I encountered at LAMB than they could ever be by me. The works I have watched Suzy and the staff accomplish is a powerful witness of God's love, and I am honored that the Lord is allowing me to be a part of this wonderful ministry.
