August 1990 Suzy leaves Charleston for the field - 3 months in Guatemala, then on to Tegucigalpa, Honduras.
1990-1995 Suzy serves on Church Planting Team with SAMS (South American Missionary Society) where she helped plant Cristo Redentor (which she also continues to attend today).
1995-1999 Suzy works with Project Global Village (Christian development organiza- tion) in Flor del Campo as spiritual leader and youth coordinator.
Gladys Urrutia is director of PGV.
October 1998 Hurricane Mitch devastates Honduras. Schools are closed and there is no functioning infrastructure for the better part of a year. Suzy's young people work closely with her in massive relief efforts. Several of the youth in Flor express to Suzy that they too would like to become missionaries.
October 1999 Suzy meets with supporters in Charleston to present the vision God has given her of starting a school for training Hondurans to be missionaries to the unreached peoples of the world. A board was formed and LAMB was born.
January 15, 2000 Colonia Carolina, the post-Mitch housing development of 50 homes constructed under Suzy's guidance, is dedicated.
February 2000 The first six students begin their first trimester of studies at LAMB. Classes are held in a building shared with PGV (Project Global Village). LAMB coordinates a scholarship program for LAMB students as well as other Christian students going to the local university.
December 2000 First LAMB property purchased - a small house on a main road in Flor del Campo.
February 2001 Second year of LAMB - classes and office on LAMB own premises.
March 2001 Barbara and Rowland Carlson, octogenarians and founders of Discovery Service Projects, hear of Suzy's ministry and make the decision to build a school building for LAMB. They will coordinate 100 volunteers over a 6 week building from the end of Dec through Jan 2002.
August 2001 The lot beside the first LAMB house is purchased for the new building.
February 2002 The LAMB Institute is completed by Discovery Service Projects and a third class of LAMB students begin classes in the new building.
March 2002 Kathi McCready from Albuquerque, NM, joins LAMB staff and serves for about 1 and ½ years. There are 13 students training for missionary service at LAMB.
September 2002 US LAMB Chair, Susan Clarkson becomes Susan C. Keller, after she marries Kent Keller.
November 23, 2002 First LAMB graduation.
June 2003 LAMB begins reaching out to a Mitch squatters settlement, Las Moritas. Suzy is appointed lay pastor to a new group of believers there.
September 2003 Baby Elsa is the first of the babies to arrive at LAMB. Suzy sends out first newsletter about "God's Littlest Lambs".
December 2003 Second LAMB graduation. Suzy/LAMB is caring for four babies - Elsa, Diana, Sallie, and Denis. God is clearly calling LAMB to respond to the abandonment and neglect of children in Flor del Campo.
Spring 2004 Discovery Service Projects make the decision to come back to LAMB in December to build the God's Littlest Lambs Christian Family Care Center. Praise God!
June 2004 Four LAMB students graduate.
Summer 2004 Friends of LAMB in Barnwell raise money to purchase the lot behind the first LAMB house - the plan will be to bring down the small house and build another 2 story building which will mirror the first LAMB building with a play area and soccer court behind.
September 29, 2004 On Suzy's birthday, Honduran Social Services calls Suzy about a family of five abused children. She gets them and it then becomes clear that God is leading LAMB to also provide for children who need a home.
December 2004 Gladis Urrutia agrees to become Director of God's Littlest Lambs - God brings Suzy and Gladis back together in ministry once again.
January 2005 Discovery Service Projects, led by Barbara and Rowland Carlson come to build God's Littlest Lambs Familycare Center.
February 2005 Diana Collins from Vermont answers call to coordinate the child sponsorship program -
Missionary training beginning to take a turn in approach - less daytime classroom time, more practicum type of learning. Suzy giving thought to changing program to lifestyle needs of potential students.
April 2005 God's Littlest Lambs opens with a daycare, kindergarten and 1st grade - 80 children in all.
June 2005 Octogenarian Wheeler Conkling moves from Geogia to Tegucigalpa to serve full-time at LAMB, bringing a whole new meaning to the word "volunteer."
Summer 2005 Honduran missionary movement is moving forward - start of Honduran arm of stateside Servant Partners - several LAMB students waiting for God to part the way.
August 2005 Residential children (26) move to one location at Las Tapias in a large, rented house with a huge yard, lots of room for children to play - Suzy and her children move out as well.
February 2006 Second grade added at the school - 200 children there now.
Spring 2006 Start of the first Honduran missionary sending agency, Puerto al Mundo (Door to The World).
June 2006 Veteran missionary, Valerie Fowler, says yes to Suzy's request and returns to Honduras as the residential home director.
July 2006 Property at San Buenaventura purchased - site work begins.
December 2006 Construction on the first cottage begins at San Buenaventura.
February 2007 3rd grade added at the school - Decision made to increase grades to the 6th grade.
Spring 2007 Many, many friends - old friends and new friends - are helping us with the construction of San Buenaventura - Friends from Georgia, Texas, Vermont, Tennessee, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Alabama. What a blessing in them!
April 2007 LAMB graduate Jenny Fuenes becomes the first student sent to the field by the Honduran church! She spent 2 months in the middle east on a discernment trip and returned to Honduras - God willing - to return for full time service on the field.
April 2007 God's Littlest Lambs Nursery opens with 7 babies and toddlers now being loved and cared for 24/7.
September 2007 God's Littlest Lambs Residential Home moves to its new location at San Buenaventura! Two cottages are completed and construction is ongoing on other cottages as well as the chapel.
