Train a child up in the way he should go and when he is old he will not depart from it. Proverbs
God's Littlest Lambs Residential Children's Home
In 2003, the babies began to arrive. There was a week-old infant whose mother could not care for him. Another baby near death whose family didn't care. In September 2003, there were five siblings - all sexually abused by family members. Each child needed a home, a family to love and care for them. And so the God's Littlest Lambs Residential Children's Home grew into existence to provide a loving Christ-centered environment for these little ones. Now home to more than 40 children, the Children's Home is a bustle of activity with children ranging from 18 months to 17 years.
This country house was the first home to God's Littlest Lambs Residential Children's Home. A bustling whir of activity, meals, lessons, laundry, prayer and play, this home at Las Tapias sheltered some of God's most precious souls before they moved to the permanent location at San Buenaventura.
In May of 2006, God provided a beautiful piece of property outside of Tegucigalpa in a community called San Buenaventura where we began constuction on the first four cottages and chapel.
In September 2007, construction was completed on the first two cottages at San Buenaventura and 45 children moved in to this incredible new location that God has provided. Construction on additional cottages as well as the chapel are ongoing.
Many songs are sung, many meals cooked and eaten many hugs given, many tears are dried in these cottages where the family of God lives.
Here is the view from the site of the chapel. It's breathtaking!!
