Suzy McCall
Founder, Director
The LAMB Institute
When Suzy was a freshman at the College of Charleston in Charleston, SC, she was asked to participate in a Bible study for college students at St. James Episcopal Church. It was then that she began to understand what it meant to be a disciple of the Lord Jesus. She dedicated her life to Him that year.
After teaching English at Trident Academy in Mt. Pleasant, SC for seven years, Suzy became Director of Christian Education at St. Philips Church in Charleston. It was while Suzy was at St. Philips that God confirmed a call to follow the Lord to the mission field. She left Charleston in the fall of 1990 and arrived in Tegucigalpa, Honduras without knowing one person or speaking much Spanish, being the first to arrive on a church planting team with SAMS (the South American Missionary Society).
Now many years later, Suzy is founder and director of the Latin American Missionary and Bible Institute (LAMB) and of LAMB's ministries in Honduras which includes God's Littlest Lambs Daycare and School and God's Littlest Lambs Children's Home. The LAMB Institute is committed to the training of Hondurans and others called to the mission field in Honduras and other lands. God's Littlest Lambs Daycare, School and Children's Home are local extensions of that vision.
A multi-gifted person, Suzy conveys through her life the power and effectiveness of a person willing to follow Jesus wherever He sends her. She is a lover of language - written, spoken, sung, prayed - and is an amazing communicator in word and deed of the love of God, pointing many to our mighty God with fierce abandon. Suzy is loved by children, teenagers, the old and young alike. She has a quick and hearty laugh and the ability to "comfort the afflicted and afflict the comfortable!" Now as young people around her are inspired by her example, she challenges them to give all for Him on the mission field themselves.
Originally from Barnwell, SC, and raised at the Church of the Holy Apostles, Suzy was awarded Distinguished Alumni of the Year at the College of Charleston in 2000.
Suzy lives in Flor del Campo, a poor barrio of Tegucigalpa, where the LAMB Institute is located. Suzy has 7 adopted Honduran children of her own: Sarahi 22, Mari 16, Noe 15, Lety 12, Sallie 4, Elsa 4, and Margaret Lucy nearly one!

Gladys Yamileth Urrutia
Executive Director
The LAMB Institute
General Responsibilities
Oversees all the details of the institution.
Develops programs for the institution.
Develops programs with the children's families.
"I like to work in this community. For me, it's more than a job, it's a calling to service."
I worked for many years in another organization, but I did not have an obligation to God and to my neighbor.
I think working with children is work that is closer to the heart of God.
Compared to the need, our work seems small. Children in our area are suffering a lot. Until now, I never realized the number of cases of abuse and maltreatment of children in the country of Honduras, nor the shortage of organizations working to help the situation. For me, doing this work is a blessing.
I thank all who support us. Without your work and your love, we would not be able to do everything we do for these kids. So many people give more than what they have, and your prayers are a covering of protection over us. We are thankful for your valuable and enormous support.
Needs
We especially need prayer that the children will be healthy, that they will be able to learn well, that everyone involved will be spiritually transformed, for the health of all staff members, that our faith continues to grow, that we would have wisdom in growing the children into good, young men and women, and for God to impress upon the workers here to commit to the new work in San Buenaventura.

I became a Christian when I was 5 years old. My mother taught me the truths of the Bible. I started serving the Lord when I was 20, working with missionaries, whose Bible school I also attended.
I was called by God to work at The LAMB Institute. My main objective here is to glorify God in everything I do. I want to help volunteers to do their work, and I want to help the children with their needs as well. I see God's hand upon this ministry because it is growing, and reaching out to the needy people in my country of Honduras.
