Community Assistance Programs

The Community Assistance Program (CAP) assists with specific needs in the area surrounding LAMB.  This picture shows Wheeler, Roseangel, and a proud homeowner (sitting)  in the doorway of a house that was renovated through the Community Assistance Program to provide toilet facilities for its elderly occupant.

The Food Bank is another arm of`the Community Assistance Program.  Various food items - bread, beans, or rice, for example - are provided to those in the community most in need.  This is a valuable service in an area where not even the barest essentials of daily life are routinely available.

Short term medical groups bring a special type of assistance to the community and to the children at the school or the residential children's home.  Assistance in the form of medical and dental care are a blessing  to those in the immediate community surrounding LAMB as well as in remote communities such as Los Moritas or in the most poverty-stricken communities such as La Cantera .

"We can no longer afford to include beans in our semi weekly food bags." Roseangel, Director of LAMB Community Assistance Program (CAP)
